During China's War of Liberation,the political propaganda as the function of newspapers was strengthened.When the Civil War broke out,people faced with a choice of path.Due to the different parties,classes and interests,readers needed to"take a stand"when choosing newspapers and maga-zines,and the change of the war situation also affected readers'political stance and value choices.The Kuomintang officials expressed their political concepts through the press,while the democrats observed the changes of the current situation and chose their political lines through the press,and the intellectuals made political observations and paid attention to the future destiny of the country through the press.Newspaper politics and reading politics are effectively combined,reflecting the psychological state,value judgement and spiritual pursuit of readers in the midst of the great change.
