Research on the impact of subsidy and rebate policies on the innovation performance of new energy vehicle enterprises
Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed automobile manufacturing enterprises from 2009 to 2021 the impact of subsidy reduction policies on the overall quality and quantity innovation of new energy vehicle enterprises was evaluated using the difference in differences method.The empirical results indicate that the subsidy reduction policy can promote the innovation performance of enterprises with a non significant positive impact on quality innovation and a significant positive impact on quantity innovation.The heterogeneity analysis results indicate that the subsidy reduction policy has a stronger incentive effect on innovation in state-owned enterprises and stimulates quality innovation in large-scale enterprises and quantity innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises.The research results can provide ideas and references for the formulation and improvement of industrial policies.
