Predictive value of ureteral wall area in the diagnosis of impacted ureteral calculi
OBJECTVE To explore the predictive value of ureteral wall area in the diagnosis of impacted ureteral calculi.METHODS The clinical data of 110 patients with ureteral calculi admitted to Urology Department,Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University were collected.According to whether it was impacted ureteral calculi, they were divided into incarcerated group(54 cases)and non-incarcerated group(56 cases). After single factor analysis, the variables with statistical differences were included in the multivariate Logistic regression analysis, and the correlation analysis of independent risk factors was performed.Receiver-operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drew to conclude the predict independent risk factors for calculus incarcerated and cut-off value.RESULTS There were statistically significant differences in UWAmax,UWTmax, maximum transverse diameter of the stone,CT value of the stone,CT value of the proximal ureteral wall and CT value of the distal ureteral wall between the two groups(P<0.05).UWAmax,UWTmax and diameter of the renal pelvis were independent risk factors for impacted ureteral calculi(P<0.05).The cut-off values of UWAmax and UWTmax were 64.050 mm2 and 3.150 mm,respectively, renal pelvis diameter was 43.250 mm.CONCLUSIONS UWAmax and UWTmax can be the preoperative predictors of diagnosis for embedded ureteral calculi. When UWAmax>64.05 mm2 or UWTmax>3.15 mm,impacted ureteral calculi are more likely to occur.
