Clinical observation of 30 cases of neonatal pneumothorax treated by high frequency oscillatory ventilation
BACKGROUND To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of high frequency oscillatory ventilation in the treatment of neonatal pneumothorax.CASE REPORTS Sixty cases of neonatal pneumothorax admitted to the Neonatal Department of Hongsibao People's Hospital from November 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into control group(30 cases, conventional treatment)and observation group(30 cases, high frequency oscillatory ventilation treatment)by double-blind method, and the various indicators(clinical indicators, lung function indicators, blood gas indicators)of the two groups were compared. The results showed that in the control group, the mechanical ventilation time was(8.87±2.67)d,the total oxygen use time was(14.89±3.85)d,and the hospital stay was(22.81±3.96)d.In the observation group, the mechanical ventilation time was(6.51±1.29)d,the total oxygen use time was(13.56±2.97)d,and the hospital stay was(20.66±2.14)d.The results of observation group were significantly shorter than those of control group(t=6.897,6.497,7.581,P<0.05).DISCUSSION The application of high frequency oscillatory ventilation in neonatal pneumothorax can effectively improve clinical effect.
