Effect of Nd∶YAG laser posterior capsulotomy on optimal corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure and refractive status in patients with posterior capsule opacification
BACKGROUND To observe the effect of Nd∶YAG laser posterior capsulotomy on optimal corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure and refractive status in patients with posterior capsule opacification.CASE REPORTS Sixty-six patients with posterior capsule opacification who underwent Nd∶YAG laser posterior capsulotomy in Shaowu Municipal Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the observation objects. They were divided into the control group(incision size:5.5 mm × 5.5 mm,32 cases)and observation group(incision size:4.0 mm × 4.0 mm,34 cases)according to the incision size of the posterior capsule. The optimal corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure, refractive status and anterior chamber depth were compared between the two groups. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the optimal corrected visual acuity between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05),and the optimal corrected visual acuity at 30 days after surgery was significantly improved(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in the optimal corrected visual acuity between the two groups at 30 days after surgery(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in IOP between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05),1OP was significantly increased at 24 h after surgery(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in IOP between the two groups at 24 h after surgery(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the spherical degree, cylindrical degree, corneal astigmatism and spherical equivalent(SE)between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05),at 30 days after surgery, the spherical degree, cylindrical degree and SE of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),while the corneal astigmatism of the two groups had no significant change(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in various indexes at 30 days after surgery(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the depth of the anterior chamber between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05),and the depth of the anterior chamber was significantly increased 30 days after surgery(t=3.940,P=0.000,t=5.034,P=0.000),there was no significant difference in anterior chamber depth between the two groups 30 days after surgery(P>0.05).DISCUSSION Nd∶YAG laser posterior capsulotomy can improve the optimal corrected visual acuity,IOP and refractive status of patients with posterior capsule opacification, and the posterior capsular incision size has no significant effect on the optimal corrected visual acuity,IOP and refractive status.
