Observation on the effect of early rehabilitation nursing on the prevention of ICU acquired weakness in critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation combined with obesity
OBJECTIVE To observe the effectiveness of early rehabilitation nursing in the prevention of ICU acquired weakness in critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation combined with obesity.METHODS A total of 116 patients who were treated in the Department of Intensive Care Medicine of our hospital from June 1,2021 to May 31,2023 were selected as the research objects. All the enrolled patients were critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation combined with obesity.According to the random number table method, they were divided into experimental group and control group. The control group received routine nursing, while the experimental group received early rehabilitation nursing. The nursing effect,self-care ability, mechanical ventilation time and other indicators of different groups were compared.RESULTS There was no significant difference in self-care ability among different groups before intervention(P>0.05).The ICU stay time of the experimental group was(7.19±5.26)d,and that of the control group was(10.51±6.23)d.The satisfaction of the experimental group with nursing service was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the duration of mechanical ventilation between the two groups, and the incidence of ICU acquired weakness in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the self-care ability after the intervention in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS Early rehabilitation nursing intervention for critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation combined with obesity can not only reduce the incidence of ICU acquired weakness, but also shorten the time of mechanical ventilation and ICU stay, and improve the self-care ability of patients and nursing effect, which has the value of popularization and application.
