Observation on the curative effect of vitamin D combined with family intervention in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder
Objective To explore the effect of vitamin D combined with family intervention in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).Method In this study, children with ASD admitted to the Child Healthcare Department of Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to March 2023 were included and divided into two groups according to their parents'wishes. The control group received family intervention, and the observation group received vitamin D combined with family intervention. The Autism Behavior Scale(ABC)and Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS)were used to evaluate the changes of symptoms before and 3 months after treatment, and the 25 hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]levels were detected by fluorescence immunochromatography to explore the effects of different interventions on symptoms and vitamin D nutritional status of children with ASD.Result After 3 months of treatment, the total scores of ABC and CARS in the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the total scores of ABC and CARS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of peripheral blood 25(OH)D in the observation group after 3 months of treatment were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with family intervention alone, vitamin D combined with family intervention has a better effect on improving the core symptoms of children with ASD.
