Study on the impact of empowerment on quality of life in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis
Objective:To investigate and analyze the empowerment and quality of life in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis,and explore the correlation between patient empowerment and their quality of life,so as to provide reference for improving the quality of life of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis in clinical practice.Method:A total of 283 inpatients with lumbar spinal stenosis admitted to the orthopedics department of 3 Grade Ⅲ and class A hospitals in Jilin Province from April 2023 to February 2024 were selected.Questionnaires were conducted using the Patient Empowerment Perception Scale and the Concise Health Status Survey Scale,and the results were analyzed.Result:The average score of empowerment for the research subjects was(4.31±0.53)points,the average score of quality of life was(60.21±17.89),both of which were at a moderate and low level.The empowerment score was positively correlated with the quality of life score,with a correlation coefficient r of 0.203.Conclusion:In clinical nursing work,it is necessary to strengthen the empowerment of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis,improve their participation and decision-making ability,and ultimately improve their quality of life.
