Effect of mood stabilizers combined with escitalopram oxalate in the treatment of depressive episodes of bipolar disorder and its influence on the levels of neurofactors and thyroid hormone
Objective:To explore the effect of mood stabilizer combined with escitalopram oxalate in the treatment of depressive episodes of bipolar disorder and its influence on the levels of neurofactors and thyroid hormone.Method:A total of 100 patients with depressive episodes of bipolar disorder admitted to Zhumadian Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mood stabilizer, and the experimental group was treated with mood stabilizer combined with escitalopram oxalate. The clinical efficacy and indexes of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of glial cell derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF),nerve growth factor(NGF)and brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the level of thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the levels of free thyroxine(FT4)and free triiodothyronine(FT3)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale 17(HAMD-17)and negative cognitive Processing Bias Questionnaire(NCPBQ)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Mood stabilizer combined with escitalopram oxalate is effective in the treatment of depressive episodes of bipolar disorder, which can improve the levels of neurofactors and thyroid hormone, reduce depressive mood and negative cognition.
