Effect of mometasone furoate combined with functional nasal endoscopic surgery on nasal mucociliary clearance in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps
Objective:To investigate the improvement effect of mometasone furoate combined with functional nasal endoscopic surgery on nasal mucosal cilia clearance in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.METHODS:One hundred and eighty patients with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps who were treated in the First Hospital of Zhangjiagang City from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected and grouped into 90 cases each by using the randomized numerical table method. The conventional group was treated with functional nasal endoscopic surgery, and the exploratory group was treated with mometasone furoate combined with functional nasal endoscopic surgery, and the nasal ventilation function, nasal mucosal cilia clearing function, and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.RESULTS:After treatment, the indicators of nasal ventilation function of both groups were improved compared with those before treatment, and the exploratory group was better than the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the nasal mucosal cilia clearance function of both groups improved compared with that before treatment, and the exploratory group was better than the conventional group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the exploratory group was lower than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Mometasone furoate combined with functional nasal endoscopic surgery in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps is effective, which can improve the nasal ventilation function of patients, increase the rate of nasal mucosal cilia clearance, and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
