Multiple reactive nodular fibrous pseudotumor of small intestine resulting in internal abdominal hernia:a case report
This paper describes a case of multiple reactive nodular fibrous pseudotumor of the small intestine resulting in internal abdominal hernia and acute intestinal obstruction.A 40-year-old male patient was admitted to hospital with symptoms of abdominal pain, abdominal distention, nausea and vomiting.Clinical examination revealed multiple nodular masses on the surface of small intestine and mesentery.Laparoscopy was performed to confirm the patient's condition. The patient was treated surgically. The tumor and necrotic small intestine were removed during the operation, and the patient recovered smoothly after the operation without any signs of recurrence.Pathological examination showed that the nodules were reactive nodular fibrous pseudotumors with low proliferative activity and benign lesion characteristics. This article emphasizes the importance of diagnosis and timely management for the patients with multiple reactive nodular fibrous pseudotumors of the small intestine resulting in internal abdominal hernia.
