Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of 3.0T MRI combined with IVIEM-DWI in preoperative T and N stages of rectal cancer.Methods:40 patients with rectal cancer treated at Chuzhou First People's Hospital from July 2018 to December 2023 were selected. With postoperative pathological diagnosis results as the gold standard, the accuracy rates of MRI and MRI combined with IVIM-DWI for T and N stages of rectal cancer were calculated respectively, then the consistency between them and pathological stages was evaluated. Results:The results showed that the total accuracy of MRI combined with IVIM-DWI in the diagnosis of T stage(95.00%)was higher than that of MRI(75.00%)(P<0.05)and the total accuracy of MRI combined with IVIM-DWI in the diagnosis of N stage(97.50%)was higher than that of MRI(90.00%),but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The diagnosis results of MRI combined with IVIEM-DWI for T1,T2,N0,N1 and N2 were highly consistent with the pathological diagnosis results, and the diagnosis results for T3 and T4 were well consistent with the pathological diagnosis results(P<0.05).Conclusion:MRI combined with IVIEM-DWI can provide reliable imaging support for the accurate staging of rectal cancer before surgery, and its diagnostic efficacy is superior to that of MRI alone, which can be used as an important auxiliary means for the preoperative diagnosis of rectal cancer.
