Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Sarcopenia-Five(SARC-F)scale combined with calf circumference measurement in the diagnosis of senile sarcopenia. Methods:A total of 160 elderly people who underwent health examination in the General Hospital of Ordnance Industry from January to June 2024 were selected as the research objects.Patients with sarcopenia were assigned to the sarcopenia group and those without sarcopenia were assigned to the non-sarcopenia group.SARC-F scale and calf circumference were measured in the elderly of the two groups. The univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn, and the value of SARC-F scale combined with calf circumference measurement in the diagnosis of senile sarcopenia was determined. Results:Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that SARC-F scale was positive(OR=8.732)and calf circumference(OR=0.578)was independent factor affecting the occurrence of senile sarcopenia(P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of SARC-F scale, calf circumference measurement and combined diagnosis of senile sarcopenia were 0.856,0.843,and 0.935,respectively.Conclusion:The SARC-F scale combined with calf circumference measurement has a high diagnostic value in senile sarcopenia.
