Design of Optical Fiber Rotary Torque Measurement System Based on FPGA
Aiming at the problem of improving the measurement accuracy of medium and high torque effectively in the running state health monitoring of large transmission equipment with flexible connection,an FPGA-based optical fiber rotary torque meas-urement system was designed for flexible connection.A turntable with 30 sets of light-dark diaphragm was used to convert the shaft torsion signal into photoelectric signal output by optical fiber sensor. The analog signal output by sensor was converted into digital signal by Schmidt shaping circuit and connected to FPGA.Through the programmable logic unit inside the FPGA and the high frequency counter, the digital signal was converted into the form of counting value and sent to the upper computer. The upper computer software was programmed by LabVIEW to realize the function of data cycle processing, and the results were displayed. In the experiment of rigid connection, the relative error of the system is better than 2.0%.In the experiment of flexible connec-tion,the relative errors of steady-state torque measurement of the system are better than 3.0%.It is proved that the system has good accuracy in the measurement of rotational torque under different connection modes in the range of 500~2000 N·m.
