How Do Civil Society Political Attitudes Affect Environmental Awareness?:Analysis from Public-Private Perspective
In order to reveal why environmental awareness has great differences in behavior and conscious-ness concept itself,the influences of Chinese citizens'personal basic characteristics,social and political atti-tudes on environmental awareness was explored from the perspectives of public and private,and the regulatory role of individual monthly income levels in it was examined.The results show that under certain socio-economic conditions,when citizens'evaluations of their own living conditions and government governance tend to be the same,their impact on environmental awareness is opposite;under different income levels,the impact of self-living status on environmental awareness is different;the improvement of citizens'quality of life has a weak impact on their environmental awareness,and it is difficult for citizens to form a high level of environmental awareness when it comes to environmental issues that do not touch the"private sphere".There-fore,in the future,the government may consider to cultivate the publicity of active citizens through policy norms,reduce their dependence on public power,shape their stable environmental awareness,and promote their willingness to participate in environmental governance.
