How Is It Possible that New Learning of Philosophers Is Viewed as an Aca-demic Thought(Part Ⅱ):The Orientation of"New Learning of Philosophers"and Its Comparison with Cultural Movement
From the academic point of view,following the thinking logic of"renewing and starting again"of Chinese traditional philosophy,the"new learning of philosophers"should have deep historical causes and re-sponses to time spirit.This constitutes its essence as a kind of academic thought similar to the ancient prose movement of the Tang dynasty,the May Fourth New Culture Movement and other cultural movements.At the same time,it becomes the universal inevitability of why"new learning of philosophers"is possible.Reflecting on the resemblance nature of ancient prose movement and May 4th New Culture Movement,the direct reason of its produce rise is"decline of the world".However,its profound historical reasons and ideological goals are the consciousness and pursuit of"the world is one"and"the world is for the public",which are in line with the call of the spirit of the times.Therefore,as an academic trend of thought,"new learning of philosophers"should be positioned in t he social development stage of"rich"and"teaching"as Confucius said,and should strive to build and practice"human community with a shared future".
