At present,China's vocational colleges are biased towards professional education in the orientation of the talent cultivation mode,but general education,which is the cornerstone,and the horizontal development of professional education are still lacking.Based on the consideration of the sustainable development strategy of talents,the talent training mode based on general education and dominated by wide-caliber professional education can be regarded as a new model for the future development of vocational colleges,which can not only enhance the human capital value of vocational colleges graduates,but also realize the cross-disciplinary training of diversified talents.Vocational colleges can achieve optimal talent development by constructing a comprehensive general education curriculum,breaking down disciplinary barriers while advancing the devel-opment of broad-spectrum professional education courses and faculty teams.
