An Exploration of a Model of Workload Generation for Novice Teachers in El-ementary and Secondary Schools Under the Background of"Double Reduction"Policy
This study applied rooting theory to derive a model of workload generation for novice teachers in el-ementary and secondary schools by interviewing eight novice teachers from different regions, academic levels, and subjects. The study finds that the three core concepts of work burden generation for novice teachers are work stress,self-control,and external support. The work stress faced by novice teachers does not directly lead to the generation of work burden;rather, work burden is eventually formed after passing through the filter of self-control and external support interacting with each other.Based on the characteristics of workload genera-tion,novice teachers can reduce their workload in three ways:strengthening teacher education to deal with practical problems of teaching, building a teacher learning community and creating a good campus culture.
