Is Pragmatic Anthropology the Second Part of Kant's Ethical Doctrine?:On a Possible Answer Scheme
Kant takes a dichotomous view on ethical theory, arguing that the second part of the ethics is moral anthropology, sometimes called practical anthropology, which explains itself in terms of empirical principles. However, the term"practical"has broad and narrow sense in Kant, and practical anthropology is based on the narrow sense of"practical".And the term"pragmatic"is also divided into broad and narrow sense, but whether understood in a broad or narrow way, pragmatic anthropology is not what Kant calls practical anthro-pology.However,if pragmatic anthropology is viewed in a moral way of thinking,it will be practical anthropol-ogy in principle.
