《天根》以细腻的笔触描绘了非洲大地上的自然风光,思考了人与自然的关系问题.小说不仅表现出环境保护与人类边缘的生态思想,其独特的对话叙事艺术也为小说结构增添了魅力.小说中对话体量巨大,占据了全文一半以上的篇幅,文本结构也在对话与叙述的交织中变得间离,形成了嵌套式、碎裂式和快进式的效果,体现出罗曼·加里在叙事技巧方面对人与他者关系的深入思考.
The Heavenly Roots is an award-winning work by French writer Romain Gary at the Goncourt Prize for Literature.It depicts the natural scenery of Africa with delicate brushstrokes and contemplates the relation-ship between humans and nature.The brilliance of the work lies not only in its beautiful scenery and humanis-tic care,but also in its unique dialogue and narrative art.Occupying more than half of the entire text,the dia-logue in The Heavenly Roots is of great volume and the text structure also becomes separated during conversa-tional insertion.Starting from the narrative art of dialogue in The Heavenly Roots,the different effects of time and space separation caused by dialogue in the text are analyzed,and the strategy of Romain Gary's layout and plot is revealed.
