Research on the Impact of Industry Monopoly and Entrepreneurial Activity on Common Prosperity
The common wealth index is constructed from the three aspects of development,sharing and sus-tainability of common wealth,using the inter-provincial panel data from 2008 to 2020 to match with the enter-prise data of A-share listed companies,establishing the fixed effect model and the threshold effect model to explain the influence of monopoly on common wealth,and analyzing the mediating and moderating effects of entrepreneurial activity.The study shows that:monopoly has a significant inhibitory effect on the common wealth and there are non-linear characteristics,entrepreneurial activity acts as an intermediary variable and plays a moderating role;heterogeneity study finds that the inhibitory effect of industry monopoly on the com-mon wealth is"digital economy＞livelihood＞capital market".By lagging the monopoly data by one period,re-measuring the common wealth index by principal component analysis,shrinking the tails,and excluding municipalities,the robustness test conclusion still holds.Therefore,monopoly will hinder the realization of common wealth,and it is necessary to promote fair competition in t he market through the anti-monopoly law,formulate differentiated and hierarchical anti-monopoly measures,and encourage"mass entrepreneurship and innovation".
