Comparison of Leaf Morphological Characteristics of Sect.camphora
Taking the leaves of C.camphora,C.parthenoxylon,C.longepaniculatum,C.micranthum,C.bodinieri,C.tenuipium and C.glanduliferum as experimental materials, the morphological indexes such as leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, leaf perimeter, leaf thickness and petiole length were measured. The characteristics of leaf color, leaf tip shape and leaf appendages were observed, and the leaf morphological characteristics of 7 species of Sect.camphora were compared. The results show that there are significant dif-ferences in leaf length, leaf width,length-width ratio, leaf circumference, leaf area, leaf thickness, leaf morphological factors,peti-ole length and thickness, and leaf vein number among the 7 species of Sect.camphora plants. The leaf length, leaf width and leaf area of C.glanduliferum,C.tenuipium and C.bodinierii are larger, followed by C.longepaniculatum and C.micranthum, and C.par-thenoxylon and C.camphora smaller. The leaf length-width ratio of C.ccamphora and C.glanduliferum is the largest, followed by C.micranthum and C.bodinieri, and C.parthenoxylon the smallest.Leaf circumference of C.bodinieri is the largest, followed by C.glanduliferum,C.parthenoxylon minimum;the leaf thickness of C.micranthum is the largest, followed by C.tenuipium,C.cam-phora,C.longepaniculatum and C.glanduliferum smaller. The leaf morphological factors of C.parthenoxylon and C.longepanicula-tum are larger, followed by C.micranthum,C.camphora,C.bodinieri,C.tenuipium and C.glanduliferum.The petiole length of C.bodinieri and C.glanduliferum is longer, followed by C.micranthum, and C.camphora the shortest. The petioles with coarser thick-ness are C.tenuipium,C.bodinieri and C.glanduliferum, followed by C.longepaniculatum and C.micranthum, and C.camphora the finest. The length of the middle vein is longer in C.bodinieri,C.tenuipium and C.glanduliferum, followed by C.micranthum, the shortest in C.camphora;the width of the middle vein is the widest in C.bodinieri, followed by C.micranthum and C.glandu-liferum,and the narrowest in C.camphora.The largest number of lateral veins is in C.tenuipium, followed by C.bodinieri, less in C.longepaniculatum and C.camphora.The presence or absence of white powder on the back of the leaves, the type of vein sequence, the texture of the leaves, the presence or absence of grooves in the petiole, and whether the lateral veins are netted at the leaf mar-gin are also important indicators of the morphological differences of the leaves of the camphor plants.
