This paper introduces nursing experience of 7 motor neuron disease cases with tracheotomy. According to the patient's condition, give specification of sputum suction , effective humidication of respiratory tract, physical therapy and hyperinflation of lung, regule suction of lung by bronchoscopy , well function exercise of respiratory muscle , strengthen nutrition, psychological counseling, etc . The ventilatorassociated pneumonia and atelectasis was effectively decreased. Effective nursing care for patients with long-term me-chanical ventilation can prevent atelectasis and reduce the occurrence of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
