Vibrio Cholerae is an important pathogenic bacterium of cholerae, a spirited intestinal infectious disease. In nowadays, the major methods of preventing and controlling cholera contain rapid and accurate detection of vibrio cholera and quickly control the source of infection, which need classification analysis of vibrio cholerae. However, traditional serological and biological classification methods could not completely meet the needs of current epidemiological investigation;therefore, molecular classification method would become a developing technology on epidemiological investigation. This review describes the common molecular classification technolo-gies on vibrio cholera research and the application situations. We expect that this review will provide updated information focusing on cholera preventing and control ing.
