Objective To prospectively evaluate the therapeutic effect of Alvenor on symptoms and signs of lymphatics insufficiency of the lower extremities. Method According to preset criteria, 82 patients were recruited into the study including 44 males and 38 fe-males. The average age was 58±11 years. The patient was enrol ed and clinical symptom and signs were evaluated. Alvenor was given 500mg, twice a day orally. Reevaluation and record by the same criteria was carried out 15, 30 and 60 days after treatment, and statistical analysis was conducted. Results Swelling, heaviness, spasm, and pain, etc, were statistically improved. Conclusions Alvenor is effective in the treatment of symptoms and signs of lymphatics insufficiency of the lower extremities.
