Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of enteral nutrition (EN) in the early treatment of the severe acute panereatitis (SAP). Methods A total of 40 patiens were suffered SAP and all of them were received treatment in our hospital from September 2012to September 2014.21 patiens were undergone enteral nutrition (EN) and 19 patiens undergone total parenteral nutrition (TPN). 8 factors physiological index of the average of the white blood cell, serum- albumin, serum pro- albumin, the score of APACHEⅡ, and the av-erage of duration of hospital stay, the cost of the treatment and the complication of intubation tube were included in our comparative study. Results The mortality, the average of the white blood cell, serum- albumin, serum pro- albumin, the score of APACHEⅡ, the average of duration of hospital stay, the cost of the treatment and the complication of intubation were significantly better in enteral nu-trition (EN) than in total parenteral nutrition (TPN) P<0.05. Excepet for 1 patien under diarrhea in early treatment of enteral nutrition, no complication of gastrointestinal were observationed. No patien was exacerbationed caused by treatment in enteral nutrition . Conclu-sions Jejunal tube through the nose to treatment severe acute pancreatitis in enteral nutrition is a safe and effective method of nutrition support and it wothy promoting to use in clinical. It is a good mothod to intubate jejunal tube through nasal in the X- line which have high rate of success and accurate positioning.
