Objective: To compare position placement time and the incidence of associated complications between traditional prone position and prone position with“λ”shape in percutaneous nephrolithotomy.Methods:45 patients with kidney stones received percutaneous nephrolithotomy in two different surgical positions during February 2013 to October 2013 in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. 25 cases were in traditional prone position (Group A) and 20 cases were in prone position with“λ”shape(Group B). Position placement time, preparation time of disinfection, change of blood pressure and intra-operative complications were compared between two groups. Results:Position placement time and preparation time of disinfection in Group B was shorter than Group A, and changes of blood pressure in Group B were less than Group A, where the differences were statistical y significant(P<0.05).
