Abstrac:Objective; The clinical efficacy.and safty Of BuShen HuoXue Soup in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (syndrome of kidney essence defi-ciency) was observed.Methods:80 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into 40cases of BuShen HuoXue Soup group (observation group) and 40 cases of glucosamine sulfate (control group). The changes before and after treatment in patients with clinical symptoms, W0MAC and TCM Syndrome Kidney Blood score,Tumor necrosis factor- a,interleukin- 1β,interleukin- 8,interleukin- 10 level were.observed.Results:(1) the clinical curative ef ect of the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.05).(2) The ?score of pain,function,W0MAC,etc.have been decreased than before?(P<0.05),?the im-provement in observation group was better than control (P<0.05).(3) The kidney deficiency,?blood stasis,?tongue and pulse,?total?scores have been decreased than before? (P<0.05), the improvement in observation group was better than control (P<0.05). (4) Tumor necrosis factor- a (TNF- a),interleukin- 1β(IL- 1β),interleukin- 8(IL- 8)in two groups decreased after treatment (P<0.05),interleukin- 10(IL- 10)content of two groups increased (P<0.05),but no statistical differences(P>0.05).(5) No serious adverse reactions were observed in the observation group during treatment. Conclusion:BuShen HuoXue Soup is safe and effective in treating knee osteoarthritis.
