Numerical Simulation of Acoustic Resonance in Average Flow Wind Collector
The average flow air energy collector uses acoustic resonance phenomenon to collect wind energy. In order to improve the efficiency of the wind energy collector, the acoustic resonance of the side branch pipe of the closed pipeline should be en-hanced.In this paper, the Computational fluid dynamics method is adopted, and the acoustic resonance in the closed side branch pipe is numerically simulated by ANSYS Fluent.Turbulence model uses the Realizable k-ε delayed eddy simulation to simulate the influence of pipes with different cross-sectional shapes on acoustic resonance.Thesimulationresults show that the simulation can accurately capture the flow velocity range of acoustic resonance. The equivalent diameter method of circular cross-section tube and square cross-section tube is feasible to predict acoustic resonance. The amplitude of acoustic resonance pressure pulsa-tion of square section tube is obviously larger than that of circular section tube. The angle between the main pipe and the branch pipe will have a significant impact on the acoustic resonance, and changing the angle of the branch pipe can enhance the acoustic resonance. Therefore, the square section pipe with a certain angle between the main pipe and the branch pipe is more conducive to improving the efficiency of wind energy collection.
