In order to solve the severe wearing problem of the side guide in front of the coiler of hot rolling mill,this paper proposes the innovative method of changing the traditional"fixed position"friction into"variable position"friction.Practical results show that this method can significantly prolong the online service life of the side guide and improve the strip quality.
