Improvement of Inner Diameter of Piston-type Paraffin Wax Actuator Based on ANSYS-Fluent Method
In order to make the paraffin wax actuator have better output characteristics under limited volume,this paper adopts ANSYS-Fluent module in the study to improve the design of inner diameter of a certain piston-type paraffin wax actuator.Orthogonal test method is applied to simulate the phase transition of the paraffin wax during heating process of 4 piston-type paraffin wax actuators with different inner diameters to obtain the internal pressure of the cavity and output force characteristics of the actuator after the paraffin wax has completely melted,and have the output forces compared with the paraffin wax actuator of initial inner diameter.The results show that best output force can be obtained when the inner diameter of the paraffin wax actuator is 18mm,which can provide reference for further structural improvement of the paraffin wax actuator.
