Rebirth of Zen:a New Study of WANG Wei's Zen Poetry from Perspective of Cultural Poetics
The poetry of"Poet-Buddhist"Wang Wei,encompassing Zen philosophy,holds unique values in lit-erature and aesthetics.Henceforth,translating Wang Wei's poetry necessitates a balance between linguistic trans-formation and intercultural conveyance.Previous research could further advance in balancing textual analysis and intercultural communication.Cultural poetics by Tong Qingbing,entailing both micro-level linguistic analysis and macro-level cultural criticism,presents an ideal framework for this task.Through cultural poetics,this pa-per explores the linguistic and aesthetic values of E-C translations of Wang Wei's poetry,as well as the repre-sentation of Zen aesthetics,the philosophy embodied in the translations,and their significance in real life.
