Study on the Effect of Mixture Ratio of Recycled Coarse Aggregate and Blast Furnace Slag Sand on the Performance of Concrete
Recycled aggregate concrete is widely used in all kinds of building engineering, based on its relatively inexpensive and excellent environmental performance. However,it has not been widely applied in engineering practice, due to its low durability and strength level. In order to solve the problem, this study compared the effects of different proportions of blast furnace slag sand and recycled coarse aggregates added to concrete on the differences in concrete performance. This study compares the differences in freeze-thaw resistance, compressive strength, and bleeding performance of modified concrete with added blast furnace slag sand and recycled coarse ag-gregate.The results show that the compressive strength of concrete made of blast furnace slag sand and recycled coarse aggregate is very close to that of ordinary concrete when the curing period is 28 days.In addition, the freeze-thaw resistance and bleeding performance of concrete prepared by using blast furnace slag sand instead of 50%crushed sand and mixing with recycled coarse aggregate are significantly improved.
