Study on the Effect of Oral Care Combined with Oral Spray of Herbal and Edible Dark Plum Honeysuckle Tea for the Patients After Abdominal Tumor Surgery Under General Anesthesia
Objective:To study the effect of oral care combined with oral spray of herbal and edible dark plum hon-eysuckle tea in patients after surgical general anesthesia for abdominal tumors.Methods:A total of 88 patients with general anesthesia for abdominal tumor treated in our hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were divided in-to two groups with 44 cases in each group by random number table method.The observation group received oral care combined with oral spray with herbal and edible dark plum honeysuckle tea,and the control group received o-ral care combined with oral spray with normal saline.The amount of saliva secretion,degree of dry and thirsty mouth,moistness of lip and tongue oral mucosa,score of oral odor,throat comfort and oral complications were compared between the two groups.Results:After intervention,the static total salivary flow rate(UWS)of the two groups was higher than that before intervention,and the score of dry mouth and thirst,moistness of lip and tongue oral mucosa and odors of the two groups were lower than those before intervention.The UWS of the obser-vation group was higher than that of the control group,and the score of dry mouth and thirst,moistness of lip and tongue oral mucosa and odors of the observation group were lower than the control group,with statistical differences(P＜0.05).After intervention,the throat comfort level of the two groups was better than that be-fore intervention,and the observation group was better than the control group,with statistical difference(P＜0.05).The total incidence of oral complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with statistical difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Oral care combined with oral spray of herbal and edi-ble dark plum honeysuckle tea can stimulate saliva secretion,improve oral dryness,freshen breath,improve oro-pharyngeal comfort,and reduce the incidence of oral complications.
