Application of PBL Teaching Method in Standardized Training and Teaching of Rheumatology Resident Physicians
Objective:Exploring the application effect of PBL teaching mode in standardized training of rheumatolo-gy resident physicians.Methods:A study was conducted on 50 resident trainees from the Rheumatology and Im-munology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University from June 2021 to June 2023 who par-ticipated in standardized training for resident physicians.They were randomly divided into traditional teaching group(n=25)and PBL teaching group(n=25)using a random number table method.The mastery of rheumatology knowledge,communication and collaboration abilities,self-learning abilities,literature retrieval abilities,clini-cal thinking abilities,and scientific research thinking abilities of the two groups of trainees were compared.Results:The performance of the experimental group students in the graduation assessment was significantly higher than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The scores of communication and collaboration ability,self-learning ability,literature retrieval ability,and clinical thinking ability of the experi-mental group's resident training students were higher than the control,and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of PBL teaching method can effectively improve the mastery of rheumatology knowledge and comprehensive ability of residential training students.
