In September 1930,the Red First Front Army abandoned its plan to attack Changsha and held the Yuanzhou Conference on its way to the southwest of Jiangxi.Mao Zedong convinced some Red Army generals and central representative Zhou Yili to correct the military adventurism of the"Li San Route"in attacking big cit-ies.The Yuanzhou Conference basically achieved the two major goals of rectifying the"Left"and strategic trans-formation of troops,gradually calming down fierce debates and forming consensus in the leadership of the Red Ar-my,accepting Mao Zedong's ideas on managing Jiangxi and opening up the Central Soviet Area,laying the foun-dation for taking the road of surrounding cities from rural areas.
