On Anti-Japanese War Literature's E-C Translation from Perspective of Cultural Back-translation:a Case Study of Red Star Over China
Cultural back-translation refers to the translation of a unique type of transnational literature works which depict Culture B in Language A and the translation process is to translate these works back into Language B and make them return to Culture B.With the methods of literature review,induction and case analysis,this paper attempts to study Dong Leshan's Chinese translation of Red Star Over China from the perspective of cultural back-translation.And according to the"Reductive"and"Constructive/Reconstructive"Cultural Back-translation proposed by Tan Zaixi.the study summarizes and expounds the translation methods and strategies adopted in lin-guistic back-translation,including proper nouns,terminologies,and culture-loaded words,as well as cultural back-translation,including information loss expressions,explanatory expressions,and misreading expressions in the back-translated version of Red Star Over China,with a view to guiding the back-translation practice a-bout anti-Japanese war literature and promoting the exchange and dissemination of China's"red culture"to for-eign countries.
