An Inquiry into the Construction of Support Service System for Teachers'Professional Development in Chinese Universities
The professional development of university teachers is susceptible to various factors,among which indi-vidual,theoretical,institutional and organizational factors play the major role.The support service system for teachers'development in Chinese universities feature many deficiencies in system construction,standard construc-tion,organization construction and training system construction.Effort shall be made to fully refer to and learn from the foreign experience in constructing advanced university faculty,to adjust policies for pre-job training and qualification authentication of university teachers,to explore and develop a grading framework for university teachers'professional standards,to establish a joint system for university and college teachers'development and organization,and set up a full-cycle training system for university teachers'career.Moreover,from the level of the nation,the industry association,universities and colleges,as well as teacher development centers,progres-sive effort shall be made to update policies,adjust and reconstruct the system,the organization system,as well as the training system.
