A Correlation Study Between the 25 Hydroxyvitamin D and the Severity of the Asthmatic Bronchitis in Children
Objective:To explore the correlation between the level of 25 hydroxy vitamin D and the severity of asth-matic bronchitis in children.Method:Retrospective analysis was used in the clinical data of 60 children with asth-matic bronchitis admitted to the pediatric internal medicine ward of Xinyu People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.According to the severity of the condition,it was divided into a mild asthma group(28 cases)and a moderate-severe asthma group(32 cases).During the same period,the study selected 30 children who received medical examinations as the control group.We collected and compared the 25 hydroxyvitamin D values in the blood of each group,and analyzed the correlation between 25 hydroxyvitamin D and the severity of the condi-tion.Result:The levels of 25 hydroxyvitamin D in the control group,mild asthma group,and moderate-severe asthma group showed a decreasing trend,while the levels of immunoglobulin E and interleukin-6 showed an in-creasing trend(P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between 25 hydroxyvitamin D levels and mild asthma group and moderate-severe asthma group.Conclusion:A deficiency of 25 hydroxyvita-min D may lead to the development of asthmatic bronchitis in children.Monitoring this indicator can help diagnose and evaluate the severity of asthma bronchitis.
