Study on the Effect of Acupoint Application Combined with Visual Adjustment Training Using the Meridian Flow Method on Low Myopia in Children and Adolescents
Objective:To explore the effect of acupoint application combined with visual adjustment training using the meridian flow method on low myopia in children and adolescents. Methods:A study was conducted on 100 pa-tients who received treatment in our hospital from December 2022 to December 2023.The grouping method is ran-dom number table method, divided into two groups of 50 cases each. The control group received routine visual ad-justment training, while the observation group received acupuncture point application intervention using the me-ridian flow method on this basis.Compare the treatment effects of two groups of children and the changes in naked eye distance vision, refractive error, average blood flow of different arteries, and eye biometric parameters before and after intervention. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,which was higher than the control group's 78.00%,and the statistical results showed a significant difference(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the naked eye far vision of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the statistical results showed a significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the average blood flow values of the basal artery(BA),left vertebral artery(LVA),and right vertebral artery(RVA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the statistical results showed significant differences(P<0.05).After intervention, the observation group had a lower axial length and a higher central corneal thickness than the control group, with significant statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of visual adjustment training, implementing the meridian flow injection method for acupoint application can improve the treatment effect of low myopia in children and adolescents, improve their visual function. It is worthy of clinical recommen-dation.
