On CHENG Jufus'Friendships and Exchange Poems When in Fujian
Cheng Jufu's thoughts and actions during his visit to Minhai Dao,Fujian Province,as a incorruptible visiting envoy clearly reflect the cultural mentality of helping the world together with the identity consciousness and political ethics of the Constitutional division official,which seem to be interdependent on his poetry creation.As for poetry creation,there are mainly two types of poems written by Cheng Jufu during his stay in Fujian.One is the poems written alone to narrate the experience when surveying the neighboring counties;the other is the pre-sentable and responding poems created while socializing and touring with various officials.The latter accounts for the absolute majority,and the most common theme is the elucidation and commendation of the political responsi-bility and cultural responsibility of the scholar,and also highlights the fundamental significance of the ideological sentiment and self-cultivation of the main body of the scholar,which clearly reflects his career aspirations and concerns as an incorruptible visiting envoy.It also reflects his recognition and adherence to the Confucian humanis-tic tradition and values of"Ming Ti Shi Yong".
