Image-number thinking is one of the core modes in Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Many im-age-number concepts in Huangdi Neijing are opposite-accorded,reflecting the dialectical relationship between Yin and Yang and harmony in TCM.Based on the theory of opposite-accord,the paper analyzes opposite-accor-ded linguistic representation of image-number in Huangdi Neijing,and puts forward the correspondent trans-lation strategies of the image-number words under the theory of opposite-accord,so as to provide a new re-search idea for English translation of concept words of image-number in TCM,and expand its practical applica-tion field of opposite-accord theory in translating Chinese classics.
