The Current State of Development of Humanities and Social Science Research in China's Vocational Colleges——Based on the General Project Data of Humanities and Social Science Research by the Ministry of Education from 2012 to 2023
Since the new era,the general projects of humanities and social science research by the Ministry of Edu-cation have shown a positive development trend with an increase in the number of projects,a broad distribution range,and a rational research team structure.However,there are still issues such as imbalanced regional distribu-tion,significant gaps between different institutions,and a lack of emphasis on the part of some regional educa-tional authorities.To promote the rapid development of humanities and social science research in vocational colle-ges,it is recommended that at the national level,the layout of vocational colleges should be rationalized to further narrow the regional gap in vocational education resources;at the local level,the importance of vocational educa-tion should be highly valued to provide protection and support for the development of humanities and social science research in vocational colleges;vocational colleges should focus on their educational purpose and positioning,sci-entifically refine their own discipline characteristics and professional strengths;and a large number of teachers in vocational colleges should pay close attention to social reality and do a good job in teaching and research foundation work.
