What Kind of Artificial Intelligent Education Hardware is Needed for K-12 AI Curriculum?:The Current Situation Analysis and Suggestions for Development
Deep learning represents the latest development in artificial intelligence(AI)and is the core content of the K-12 artificial intelligence curriculum.Artificial intelligence education hardware(AIEH)is an indispensable tool for K-12 students to learn AI,and its current development status and construction direction deserve attention.Firstly, the study combined the core content of the AI curriculum and the development trends of AI technology to explore the objective positioning of the K-12 AI curriculum.Secondly, the study selected a batch of AIEH as research samples from the dimensions of education, representativeness, wide audience, and deep learning orientation, then analyzed their computational resources, hardware functionality, application performance, and resource services. The results show that there are four problems of AIEH,such as low computational resources, high redundancy in application performance, lack of tools for beginners and insufficient differentiation across educational stages.Based on these findings, the study suggests implementing stage-specific course objectives to build a robust hardware ecosystem, providing online access services to address computational resource deficiencies, constructing a collaborative shared platform, and establishing multi-party cooperative mechanisms. These measures will promote the high-quality development of the intelligent hardware industry and K-12 artificial intelligence curriculum in our country.
