Integrating Educational Gerontology and Neuroscience in Enabling Positive Aging:Developmental Trajectories,Potential Values,and Strategic Analyses
China is facing a window of opportunity in dealing with population aging at scale,which is considered crucial for national development.In combing developmental trajectories of educational gerontology and neuroscience,dual-logics of uni-disciplinary derivatization and multi-disciplinary parallels are identified.Focusing on key dimensions of positive aging,potential values of new mechanism research,probing direction,and technology advances are synthesized.Four strategic recommendations are presented:First,actively invest in basic research on education for the aged;Second,fully utilize positive brain plasticity;Third,actively expand the internal and external value of education for the aged;Fourth,dynamically adjustment of the symbiotic relationship between education for the aged and new technology.
