Research on the Instructional Design of Complex Skills for the Digital Era
The technological development of the digital age has reshaped the working environment and methods, and high-quality digital skilled talents need to possess complex skills to adapt to future work needs. The cultivation of complex skills should be implemented in schedule teaching, and skill teaching should be carried out based on digital work tasks in real situations. Therefore, this study first constructed a task centered complex skills instructional design framework based on the 4C/ID model and action orient-ed learning theory, and applied this framework to conduct a case study in an information technology skill-based course. The research revolves around the following two questions:(1)What instructional design elements will affect the acquisition of complex skills during the completion of work tasks?(2)What are the applicable instructional strategies for teaching complex skills in course cases? This ar-ticle selected three work tasks with varying degrees of difficulty in the case course, and explored the teaching process, key teaching elements, and instructional strategies of complex skills teaching through classroom observation,teacher-student interviews, and itera-tive and optimized instructional design. After research,8 key instructional elements,21 theoretical instructional strategies, and 10 generative strategies were formed to validate the applicability of the complex skills instructional design framework.
