From"Speculative Worlds"to"Exploring Scientific Models from the Inside":Interpretation of the Open University(UK)'s Innovating Pedagogy 2024
The Innovating Pedagogy is a globally recognized academic report series aimed at introducing the latest influential and valuable pedagogical innovations related to digital technology to the education sector.This report is published annually,and the 2024 edition introduced ten pedagogical methods,such as"speculative worlds,""learning in conversation with Generative AI,"and"exploring scientific models from the inside,"along with corresponding practical cases.Through content analysis,this study outlines the core theories,technological foundations,application contexts,and instructional focuses of each pedagogical method,as well as their historical connections with previous pedagogies.Furthermore,the implications of this report for pedagogical research and practice in China are discussed:First,the in-depth application of digital intelligence technology is a crucial breakthrough for educational digi-tal transformation;second,cultivating talents for the development of new-quality productive forces is the core mission of digital educa-tion;third,a teaching force with strong digital literacy is key to the success of educational digital transformation;and forth,the inte-gration of diverse concepts and multiple technologies has become a trend in the evolution and innovation of pedagogy.
