Nanosecond Time Synchronization Technology for Time-slot Optical Switching Networks
With the rapid development of Internet and communication services, the research focus of data center network architecture has shifted from electrical switching to optical switching.Due to the need to synchronize clock signals before time slot switch-ing in optical switching networks, the accuracy and stability of time synchronization are important parameters for improving the performance of optical networks.A time synchronization scheme based on FPGA is proposed.Compared with the existing schemes,it has higher precision and stability while reducing the complexity of synchronization.Test results show that the off-set after time synchronization does not exceed 2.56 ns,and the clock jitter at different fiber lengths, operating hours, and am-bient temperatures is in the picosecond range.
