The intelligent endogenous capabilities of sixth-generation(6G)wireless systems have progressed from version 1.0 to 2.0,aiming to leverage advanced artificial intelligence(AI)capabilities provided by communication foundation models.These capabilities enable deeper and seamless integration of AI resources with 6G systems,facilitating mutual coupling and enhanced functionality.The diverse and urgent demands for intelligent endogenous technologies in 6G,varying in priority,have resulted in different network architecture designs and technological evolution paths.This necessitates a systematic exploration and unified understanding to support the standardization and sustainable development of 6G industries.This paper introduces the concept and vision of intelligent endogenous technologies for 6G,followed by an analysis of the multi-dimensional requirements of the 2.0 phase.It further discusses the potential impacts of AI-driven agents,including scenario-specific requirements,system architecture design,and interface adaptations.Finally,several open research questions regarding the application and development of intelligent endogenous technologies are identified for further investigation.
