A Study on the Influence of Relative Age Effect on the Selection of Football Players from the Perspective of Development Constraint Model
In recent years, research on the relative age effect in football has been continuously emerging, but there is currently limited literature in China on the theoretical framework for describing and analyzing the relative age effect in football.By using literature analysis methods and based on the theory of developmental constraint models, this study investigates how the relative age effect affects the selection of young football players.Research suggests that the coupling between individual constraints, task constraints, and environmental constraints provides a good platform for understanding the relative age effect in football and how it affects athlete selection.
